Notes: When Pietro Bertelli’s copperplates passed to Francesco Bertelli a new town book with some additional plates was published in 1629 in Padua entitled: Theatro delle città d’Italia con nova aggiunta. It contains 78 plates. The map of Malta was number 67 in the volume. From various slight differences it appears that this plan was printed from a new plate. For, which stands for formis indicated Francesco Bertelli as the owner of the plate. On some of Pietro Bertelli’s plates, Francesco added his own imprint. He inscribed on the Malta map at the bottom right corner: fra.co bertelli for [mis]. In Padoa.
